The Baxter Family Series: A Book Review

I received this wonderful series for Christmas and just finished it this past month. I definitely thought it was worth sharing with you all.

This was my first time to read any of Karen Kingsbury's books and I'm sure it won't be my last. They were so good! This particular series she co-wrote with Gary Smalley~and, of course, his books are amazing as well, if usually in a different genre.

There are five books in the series: Redemption, Remember, Return, Rejoice and Reunion. They all center around the Baxter family and their very real life struggles. Throughout the books there are many situations addressed. Tough issues like adultery, HIV, atheism, infertility, cancer and life tragedies. Each issue was tackled in a very real way and yet the authors also gave the reader a beautiful picture of the difference God's grace makes. At the end of each book each author *chats* with the reader a little further, giving more advice and resources for dealing with the real-life situations dealt with in the story.

If you're looking for a new author to read or if you like to read series, I highly recommend these! I know I'm looking forward to reading their next series.

this is one of my favorite series of books ever! You will love the spin off series {both of them!} and everything else Karen writes is amazing too. She's one of my fave authors!
