April...what does that bring to mind for you? Taxes? Spring cleaning? Playing outside? All of the above?
Well, that's pretty much what I've been up to lately.
I am totally doing the happy dance over having our taxes finished and filed! Just got it all wrapped up this morning~hallelujah! My hubby and I are a great team: I get all the info together and he enters it all online and files it. Oh, and by the way, being self-employed is slightly more challenging when it comes to filing taxes...I'm just sayin'.
The weather was so gorgeous today that I was completely inspired to clean out my car. Can I just say...disgusting? I found all manner of dried up foods and old candy under the backseats (aka: the kiddos' seats). I'm tempted to ban food in the car forever, but I know that won't last long. But maybe I should clean out my car more often than once a year. Usually I do it twice: in Spring and Fall. But it had been one year, one move, seven road trips and more errands than I could possibly remember since mine had seen a vacuum. Take it from me and don't wait that long!
This beautiful Spring weather is also motivating me to Spring clean the house. Let's face it, I just need to do my regular cleaning. It's just so hard to keep a house clean with two munchkins. The time I might spend super-cleaning one room is just the time they need to completely dismantle and destroy the remaining rooms. haha You think I'm joking, don't you? :)
However, I am making an effort to do some deeper cleaning this Spring. It just kind of takes over when those lovely breezes start floating through the windows. Do you Spring clean? How involved do you get?
We are also doing lots of playing outside these days. I have discovered that January and February are truly the *hump* months for me when it comes to homeschooling. They are the absolute looooongest months ever. So when warmer days start in March, we are all ready for outdoor play. So there has been lots of bike riding, monkey-barring, swinging and mud-digging going on lately. The kiddos got new kites in their Easter baskets, too, so we are looking forward to trying those out very soon.
So that's what's going on around here. I am loving Spring! I hope you are enjoying it as well.

How exciting! Thank you!
Thank you so much!
I have no excuse, its just me that drives it.
I am taking your advice and cleaning the inside out.
It's amazing how quickly a car gets nasty, isn't it? I try to blame it all on my kids:)))

I completely agree w/the whole *constant state of cleaning* thing. I just keep reminding myself, "We LIVE here....with TWO LITTLE KIDS!" :)
