Welcome to the end-of-our-week-wrap! If you're dropping by today from Hammock Tracks, I'm so glad you're here! I hope you'll grab a cup of coffee and stay for a visit.
In our homeschool this week...
The kiddos seemed a little extra motivated! Maybe it was the promise of spending the afternoon with their Nana ...or maybe it was me counting up how many days we have left in our year and threatening school all summer long. Whatever it was, I was proud of how they had more initiative to get their assignments completed and even enjoyed their assignments more.

Places we're going & people we're seeing...
Our week has been pretty low-key. No big field trips or major events. But the kiddos enjoyed two afternoons at my parents' house just playing, hanging out, and eating every snack in site:)
Today we start back up with our co-op group again. After taking the 3rd quarter session off, we're all looking forward to this 4th quarter. The kids can't wait to see all of their friends and take some fun new classes and I'm, of course, looking forward to having more adults to talk to again.
My favorite thing this week was...
I got to enjoy some good, quality moments with my kiddos. When the hubby is out of town, I'm usually just focused on making it through the day, hoping that everything goes smoothly since I can't pull in "the principal" if it doesn't, and then crashing every night after I get them tucked in. Don't worry, there was plenty of that this week, too. But we have played some fun games together (current fave is Wits & Wagers Family), gone out for impromptu DQ Blizzards, and enjoyed reading more of our current read-aloud, Tom Sawyer.
I'm cooking...
It's been all child-friendly meals this week. There has been Individual Chicken Pot Pies, Potato Soup, French Toast, Pancakes & Bacon... we had breakfast for dinner a couple of nights--always a hit!
I'm praying for...
My husband gets home tonight from a week in Egypt. He had the privilege to be one of several speakers at a pastors' conference there where nearly 20 denominations came together for encouragement. He says it's been a wonderful trip and I'm looking forward to hearing all about it. I'm praying for safe travels all day for him and for his luggage to come home with him, too!
A photo for you...
Last night we attended the reception for the local art association's annual youth art exhibit. Each of the kiddos submitted a painting they had done in their fall co-op art class. This is our second year to participate in this--we really enjoy seeing all of the wonderful art created by students in our area.
(I've added arrows so you'll know which painting belongs to which kiddo)
And that wraps up our week! I hope you have a wonderful weekend--we're certainly looking forward to ours!
