Obviously, you want them to read more challenging things, but there's something to be said for picture books:) <br /><br />The Paddington Bear books were some that Mr. B really loved, also the Little House books were some that we read several years ago and he paid attention well with those. <br /><br />If it's trouble sitting still then maybe you could try having Little Man play with blocks or Legos or cars ...keep his hands busy while you read. Well, just now doing that :) We are still reading picture books for the most part b/c Little Man seems to lose interest quickly in chapter books. However, Little Miss is REALLY into them. She's already read Black Beauty, Anne of Green Gables, and Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm by herself. Do you have any suggestions of books that might hold Little Man's interest?
