Maybe we should try that one sometime.
My daughter loves those card games, too, she's so funny about Old Maid--always sticking the old maid card way out so I'll choose it. lol!Lora @ my blessed lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05579408092425311320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3753791058334220460.post-24309087638489901302009-04-15T23:13:00.000-05:002009-04-15T23:13:00.000-05:00We love games at our house too. However, we're not competitive at all - all friendly. ;). Backgammon is a great 2-person game, as is Cribbage. We have played probably thousands of games of Backgammon since we've been married.

My favorite non-kid games are Scrabble, Risk and Monopoly. For years, Scrabble was our Saturday night tradition. No heading out for a night on the town - we'd turn on some fun music and battle it out with Scrabble.

Games with the kids - well they are 2 and 4 so you can imagine what "level" of games we're at. Sarah - nothing. We're still trying to teach her the concept of turn taking. Charlotte loves Yahtzee Jr, CandyLand (she calls the gingerbread men 'gingerbread ladies'), The Lady Bug Game, and some card games (Go Fish and Old Maid come to mind).

It will be fun as the kids get older and we can play more games as a family.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3753791058334220460.post-1132430620302210972009-04-15T10:25:00.000-05:002009-04-15T10:25:00.000-05:00Kayren~

But I can give obscure clues without using the taboo words and he can get it when no one else would have a clue what I was talking about.

I prefer card games to board games usually. Have you tried Dutch Blitz (your kids are probably a little young to play against you unless you slow down, but it's like Nertz). Check out CBD if you haven't heard of it.Kayrenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08735245416162284974noreply@blogger.com
