Have you ever considered doing some travel writing...you paint great word pictures and give good detail about the points of interest. Not sure how to get started in that genre...but I think you'd be great at it!Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05990029476748329144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3753791058334220460.post-8859302754442969572008-11-13T19:27:00.000-06:002008-11-13T19:27:00.000-06:00Looks like a fun trip. Last summer we did sort of the same thing with something called amish friendship bread and it was tasty also..KChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10494722944439990833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3753791058334220460.post-36434280637532761502008-11-13T13:10:00.000-06:002008-11-13T13:10:00.000-06:00Glad you had a good trip. I loved the movie "The Witness" with Harrison Ford years ago and was fascinated with their simple way of life and how they all pitch in and help one another. We went to an old shaker village some years ago and I have some amazing photos. I can't recall exactly where it was I will have to have a look. It was on the East Coast but not sure if it was Canada or USA. <BR/>Well I have made a very slow start on some of my favourite things. I am going to try and do one a day but not necessarily just the kitchen. I watched one video that Vince found on making one. The process was almost a week long and seemed a little intimidating to me, but I may check into it anyway.Lora @ my blessed lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05579408092425311320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3753791058334220460.post-9075830240761850082008-11-12T20:02:00.000-06:002008-11-12T20:02:00.000-06:00That sounds like a nice little trip! I'm wondering if you googled a search for a homemade sourdough starter if you could find out how to start one...maybe with buttermilk or yogurt?Betsy Brockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06807795605763246015noreply@blogger.com
