Well, one of my favorite bloggers, The Nester, is have a little bloggy carnival thing celebrating the fact that It Doesn't Have To Be Perfect To Be Beautiful (otherwise known as IDHTBPTBB). She has challenged us to show the imperfect side of our lives (you know, the ones that we don't usually post pics of) and celebrate it!
This has actually be sort of on my mind lately anyway. I tend to be a *bit* of a neat freak and a *little* retentive about stuff and I'm sure I drive my family crazy-ha! Now, while I'm not going to stop trying to teach my kiddos good habits concerning picking up their toys, I am trying to be more postive about it. Even when I want to scream after realizing that you can't even see the carpet in the family room, I stop to remember WHY its such a mess. Its because I have been blessed incredibly with two precious children! If there were no mess, that would most likely mean that there were no children in my life. So, with that in mind, the mess is a blessing, right? I will simply work on learning more patience and repeating myself patiently to them about picking up. Meanwhile, let's celebrate the imperfect beauty!

Oh, get this!...I e-mailed Sally Clarkson to say how much her book meant to me and how it had impacted me. (I found her e-mail address on her blog.) And today I got a response from her! I NEVER expected that! It was such a sweet, encouraging note...hey maybe I should blog this. (Maybe tomorrow's post...you get a sneak peek!) Anyway, I thought that was so cool. I'd love to meet her someday, she seems so interesting!
Look at the bright side: at least the T-Rex is only 5 inches tall, right?!
Bless you,
~Reese
I have started on Velvet Elvis. Such a good read so far! Can't wait until Friday. I have heard of a couple of museums in Memphis. You're probably the only other one who would want to go! Hope you enjoy the Shack!!!!!
