I can't believe it's Thursday already. This week seems to have gone by very quickly! We've had lots of little things going on.
There's all the usual stuff: homeschool, laundry, cleaning, cooking...We had friends over for dinner on Tuesday night. Good friends + tacos = great fun!!...My hubby got our leaky bathtub faucet all repaired. He is so smart! He watched several videos online about how to do it and then he DID it. The funny (or not-so-funny) part was this: we have a gift card to Home Depot and planned to use it so the repair wouldn't cost anything. But wouldn't you know, Home Depot didn't have any of the parts that we needed. He had to go to Lowe's. How ironic is that? Anyway, I was pretty proud of him for doing it all himself and very efficiently, too. No more leaky bathtub faucet! Yea!
I made Amish Friendship Bread for the first time this week. I've had two friends give me starter lately. Although I must admit I killed the first batch--I forgot she gave it to me and left it in my car for days. Oops! The second batch was very successful and now I have more starter. Have any of you every made it before? Several years ago I had sourdough starter and was baking bread like crazy. We made a move though and I killed my starter. I really wish I had that now! It was wonderful bread, and so versatile!
Tonight is our small group night. Some of you may remember that my hubby & I host a small group for young married couples twice a month in our home. They are such a blessing to us! We love having them over and it's always a lot of fun. Vince usually has something prepared for us to discuss, sometimes we do a series. (For instance, a couple of months ago we wrapped up our study on Deadly Viper Character Assassins. That is an incredible book on character and integrity! The authors wrote it using an Asian/kung-fu sort of theme, so men love it!). Some nights we play games and just have a good time. We always have good food, too. Tonight's meal plan is soups, salad & baked potatoes. Each couple makes/brings a part of the meal. Tonight I'll be baking the potatoes and making Creamy Cheddar Soup.
Well, I think I've rambled on enough for today, it's time to land this plane! I'll be back with more later.
Have a great day!

Congrats on Vince fixing your leaky bathtub faucet. And I'm sure the two of you are also a blessing to the young married couples you have over.
Hope you had a fun evening!
