Menu Plan Monday

It's been a pretty slow-paced weekend and that's been nice. Yesterday we took the kiddos on a fall drive up to an Amish community (more on that later this week), then today we stayed in from church because Vince and The Princess were both feeling *puny* (that's Southern for feeling lousy). You know, sore throats, coughs, aches, etc. I thought it would be a nice quiet day at home--and in a few ways in was--but Mr. B has really been wound up and into everything. I mean, how many times can one kid get into trouble in one day?!?! I'm pretty sure he's going for a record! By the time we got both of the kiddos tucked into bed tonight I was ready to collapse-ha! I had some nice down time by watching When Harry Met Sally (one of my faves) and stamping some Christmas cards. I hope you had a good weekend!

Here's the plan for this week:

Monday: PW's post roast with carrots, mashed potatoes & gravy
Tuesday: loaded bbq potato casserole
Wednesday: beans & cornbread
Thursday: smoked sausage jambalaya with salad
Friday: family pizza night
Saturday: fish stick po'boys & slaw

Lora,
I always get such great ideas from your weekly menu plans! The loaded bbq potato casserole sounds delicious. I just scanned over the recipe to see if I have all the ingredients....I do have everything but the green chiles. Thanks for the inspiration!

Looks like you have another great menu planned. I haven't been doing so well with planning my menus recently...maybe we'll will just have what you are having.

I'm sure chicken will be great. I have some leftover bbq pork, I'm just not sure if I have 3 cups. I made a bbq boston butt pk roast in the crockpot and have had an abundance of pork left over. This is just right for recreating the leftovers!

My neighbors haven't found a house yet. The last time we talked, they were still looking. She was very impressed by yours. She said it was beautiful.

Hi Lora -

I remember now!! :) I'd love to have you email me directly if you want - I'm curious where you are living now (since you were talking about Amish country...).

What floor did you go to after Karlene left...since Emily and I moved into your old room! :)

And I just finished up the last of my BBQ potato casserole for lunch since my hubby was nice enough to save some for me after my weekend away...oh how I love it!

Yum...sounds like another great week! I'm in such a rut in my menu planning...I really need to get back into it. I just seem to always default to the same ol' thing!

Hope Vince and The Princess are feeling better!
