A Snow Day!!

Well, the night brought us a beautiful snowy (and a little bit icy) morning here in northwest Alabama! What a treat! The kiddos were ready to go outside and play at 7:30 this morning! I hurried and got them dressed though, because here in the South a little dusting like this will be gone by noon (and it nearly is!). We enjoyed it this morning though!

making snow angels

winter Nandina berries

too excited to *pose* for mom

our frosty birdseed pine cones

Oh, the thrill of it all!

a backyard patio view

checking out every snowy/icy surface possible

maybe the birds would like to go ice skating here

All of this winter beauty just puts me even more in the Christmas spirit!!

Glad you got some too! We've had quite a bit of little snows, but more than dustings. But unlike your weather, we are cold enough for it to stay for a while! I'm so glad the kiddos got to enjoy it for a little while at least.

Hi Those are some pretty snow pictures! We didn't get even a flurry although they were predicting 5 inches!

Thanks for the visit today!

How fun! I think we take snow for granted up here! I do remember being in college with a girl from Florida. She had never seen snow! When winter hit up here, she got a real treat! You're kids look like they are really enjoying it!

Oh my goodness! Beautiful snow! We were hoping for some here. It was predicted, but it missed us. It looks like y'all had a great time in it!
