Handmade Valentines

Just wanted to show you what we did with some of our crayon hearts:

I used double-sided sticky foam to apply them to the cards. They turned out really cute! The kiddos are so excited to give them to their friends.

These are the silhouette cards that we made for our family (so if you're a family member reading this...STOP NOW!!:).

Yesterday was a busy day of Valentine-making! Today we're moving onto to Valentine cookies....

This is linked to Show & Tell at There Is No Place Like Home.

Very nice ideas. How did you make the silhouette images?

First of all, I recruited my hubby's help. But it seemed like a fairly simple task.
1.) We took a pic of their profile
2.) Then he uploaded it to Corel Draw
3.) Cancelled out the background
4.) Then painted the silhouettes black
I haven't really used Corel Draw at all, but Vince loves that program. That's why I got him to do it:) I figured it was only fair since I had to cut out all of the silhouettes-ha!

What fabulous ideas for projects with children! Makes me wish I was still a Girl Scout Leader.

Well...maybe not.

Thanks for sharing!

Might need to borrow Vince though if I decided to do the silhouettes.

this is such a smart idea! I could send the little 3 yo I watch to help break crayons, she is the master!

I love your silhouette cards, I will be checking out your link!

Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours:)

Those are both really adorable! I hope I'll be able to make next year's Valentine's Day more fun. I was just too sick with this pregnancy this year to really do anything; at least my kids aren't old enough to notice yet. Happy Valentine's day!

Hi! I'm so glad you did the silhouette cards! Great job! I'm sure your "grammies & grampas" enjoyed them as much as my kids' g&g's did!!
