Did You Know It's National Poetry Month?

Hurt No Living Thing
Hurt no living thing;
Ladybird, nor butterfly,
Nor moth with dusty wing,
Nor cricket chirping cheerily,
Nor grasshopper so light of leap,
Nor dancing gnat, nor beetle fat,
Nor harmless worms that creep.
Christina Rossetti

The Princess and I have been learning this poem during the month of April.

And if I can just add, tree roaches! I know you probably have them down there, Lora. We had them in college in Southern Arkansas and then when we lived in Mississippi and in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ugh!

Is that what they're called?! They're outside and like 2" long!!! Hideous!! One once flew in the door behind me and I nearly had a screaming hysterical fit before I hosed it to death with a can of Lysol. lol!! Vince wasn't home or I would've made him do it-ha! The kiddos thought I had lost my mind:)

Hey, Lora, hair spray will work, too. Just thought you might want to know in case you found one in the bathroom someday. Hideous is a kind word...makes Michigan look even more lovely than it already is! :)
