Your Ideas Wanted Here, Please

When we bought our very first house some 10 years ago, it came with this little *treasure*. I have never really decided what to do with it, but I just can't give it up. I'd love to have some cool idea for a project for it.
Any ideas?
I'd love to hear them!

I see it used as a tray...filled with glasses of sweet iced tea being carried outside for a backyard BBQ! I agree it's a neat piece!

Some sort of planter? Or you could use it to store some gardening tools?

I have one with little bears in it. I also have a shelf with Laura Ingalls dolls and I put once in the middle of the shelf and the spelled out Laura's name in children's block. It looks nice with the blocks in it.

Have a Terrific Tuesday
I love coming to visit you

Hey Lora, I have some of those only they are Pepsi ones (of course!). I have used them for various things. I used them as a planter once, it didn't work so well but I was probably doing something wrong. I've also used them as shelves and put little knick knacks in them. I would love to read some other ideas because I don't have the heart to get rid of mine either, but they aren't really doing anything.

When I was little I had one that held my rock collection, and each cubbie held a different rock. I had it standing up on my bookshelf or dresser. I don't really see you using it that way...

I could see it used like one of those miniature shelves, hanging on a wall. I don't know if you collect little things or have little things, or even want to have little things, but it's an idea.

You could also use it as an art tray for the kids art supplies. If you want to keep it super clean on the inside you could line the cubbies with plastic cups or something to keep the pencils and stuff from marking up the wood.

You could also use it in a similar fashion for scrapbooking supplies, and I would definitely line the cubbies with something.

I'm out of ideas off the top of my head.

Can't wait to see what you end up with. Please share when you do!

That's a collectible for sure Lora!Don't paint it, what ever you do.

Maybe you could hang it on the wall in your son's room and he could put his little cars and collectible toys in it, using it as a display case? Or hang it in the family room to hold CD's -- would they fit in the cubby holes? Mayme rolled up newspapers and magazine? Or Mail? Or how about towels in the powder room?

Start a shot glass collection and display them in it?

How about hanging it in the kitchen and fill it with small spice jars, and jars of beans and rice, etc?

Hang it in the garage and use it to hold jars of screws and nails and small tools.

Make it into a small side table by adding legs and a glass top?

A million possibilities ..I'm curious what you come up with!
