This weekend my sister has been here from Arkansas and we have been doing a little sightseeing. Since I'm still completely new to the area, too, it was an adventure for us all.
Today while we were shopping around the neighboring city of Clarksville, TN, we decided to look up the L & N Train Station~which is commonly known as the inspiration for the Monkee's hit *Last Train to Clarksville*. And since I had a crush on Davy Jones as a kid and loved the Monkees I thought it would be fun to take a look.
It's a pretty little station with a beautiful (and immaculately clean) engine and caboose, both painted fire engine red, parked beside it. The station is also the site of the Clarksville farmer's market and I can just imagine how pretty it looks with all of those colorful veggies along side the vintage train.
We took the opportunity to have a little photo fun on the train and I loved the way these turned out (I'll spare you the other cheesy poses).
If you're in the area, it's worth the stop (there's even a nice park right beside it and the charming downtown area nearby).
I love being a tourist in my own neck of the woods!
