Menu Plan Monday: July 12th

It's that time of the week again. I hope you had a good week of menus last week~we sure did. I have to say the highlight meal of the week was Thursday night. It was pure country home cookin' goodness! We had macaroni & tomatoes, fresh green beans with new potatoes, Ozark Mtn. Succotash and cornbread. Oh.My. I hate to tease you like that, but I just had to share.

This week's key phrase is *keep it simple*. As in, simple meals. It's going to be a bit of a different week meal-wise. The kiddos will be attending vacation Bible school each evening this week, so meals will need to be a little earlier than usual. For some reason, the earlier I have to plan dinner the simpler I need it to be. I think that must be because the time sneaks up on me:)

So here we go...

Monday: Chicken Fingers and Fried Okra
Tuesday: Pigs-in-Blankets and Baked Beans
Wednesday: Tostadas
Thursday: Macaroni & Cheese with Peas & Carrots
Friday: Pizza
Saturday: Tuna Melts

Happy cooking to you this week!

I never plan out a menu...But desperately need to start! Supper always sneaks up on me. I love to cook delicious meals though! Planing a menu would give me great direction for the week! Thanks for the good ideas. And, YAY for VBS!

I'm with you in simple menus!!

Your grandmother's mac and cheese sounds delicious. Love that the cheese is cubed and not shredded -- saves some time!

I'm in such a rut that I haven't even posted a menu plan in I think three weeks. We're just grilling a lot or scrounging around. Sad. The scrounging part.
