So, how has your day been? Mine has been pretty crazy!
Of course, it started off watching tv coverage of the inauguration. Then right about the time they were going to finally introduce the president-elect (after about a million other introductions!), Vince got a phone call. I was trying to listen to the news commentators while refereeing the kiddos, so I only caught snatches of his conversation. When he got off of the phone, he says "I'm going to Peru!" Well, OK!
I knew the call must have been from my dad. He is a minister and travels internationally and domestically full-time. I can hardly keep up with where he is week to week. He does a great job helping out my postcard collection though!:)
Sure enough, that's what it was.
Then I started thinking...about plane schedules, packing...and then--oh, yeah! His passport! Which was expired. Oops! Did I mention that he leaves on this trip in 10 days!?! So I went to get the old passport out of the *special passport place* and it was nowhere to be found. I started to get a little stressed. Especially since I was on the phone with my mother who was telling me all of the things that I already knew had to be done to get his (missing) passport renewed. ha!
I did find it within a few minutes and we did get everything overnighted to the proper people after a few minor hassles. Now if they will just do their part...and do it quickly!!
So it looks like the next couple of weeks are going to be a little busier than I had planned. It's all good though and it's working out better than I could've planned.
Vince's sister and bro-in-law are expecting their first baby the first week of February. And we were trying to decide if we were going to be able to go to Tulsa to see them and the new baby around that time. Well, since Vince is going to be flying out of Arkansas with my dad, I'll just tag along with the kiddos and spend some time with my family and then we'll be able swing on up to Tulsa to visit Vince's family and see the sweet new addition! Perfect, isn't it?!
I'm excited about it! This is a great opportunity for Vince to go and minister and we'll get some nice extended family time, too. It's been a good day!
Oh--and one of the best parts was having some one-on-one time with each of my kiddos playing some fun games. The Princess and I played Jr. Monopoly--very fun, I might say!! And Mr. B chose the classic Candy Land and we loved every minute! Does your family like to play games? We love board games around here!

Board games...my kids love them. I'm more a card game girl. I actually despise Monopoly, but I love Clue. Probably not surprised about the Clue thing though.
