Well, this probably won't be a true review, but I'm trying to talk about the
books that I read as I cross them off my Spring Reading List.
This past week Vince and I finished up Prince Caspian, by C.S. Lewis. We did it *old school* style: I read it aloud to us. I've been a fan of The Chronicles of Narnia since 4th grade when my teacher started reading them aloud to us. I could've listened for absolutely hours! My husband didn't have that great experience though and only became familiar with them when the first movie came out. It's been a while since I've read them myself and I wanted to refresh my memory before the next movie comes out. So I thought it might be fun to read them aloud so he could experience them, too. He loved it! I would read us a chapter (sometimes two) each night in bed. So now we're all ready for the movie--and we'll know what they've left out or embellished! And Vince enjoyed the experience so much he wanted to read another one--or rather he wanted me to read us another one:) So we've gone back to the beginning to catch up with The Magician's Nephew. They're easy reads, so we will probably read the whole series. I can't wait till the kiddos are big enough to get into them!
So if you haven't ever checked out The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, I can't recommend them enough. They're wonderful stories, some of the best ever! And they're great for girls and boys, if you're wondering if your children will like them.
Oh, and FYI, the movie version of Prince Caspian comes out on May 16th. I'm practically counting the days! It looks to be a great family movie and a keeper. I also saw on the website that The Voyage of the Dawntreader is already in the works and scheduled for release in 2010. I hope they do the entire series.

I have read all the seven books and i have even seen the first movie i.e. the lion , the witch and the wardrobe.
I am now eagerly waiting for Prince Caspian to hit the theaters. I can't wait to see it. I loved the book.
It's scheduled to release on the 16th of May, 2008. I hope it lives upto everybody's expectation.

Thanks for dropping by! And thanks for the link to the movie trailer. Doesn't it look wonderful? I don't think it looks like they stayed exactly true to the story, but I do hope they maintained the integrity of it. They certainly did a great job with the first one.
