So how did your week of dinners go last week? I must say, I was glad to be back in the saddle again with my menus! We had a good week of dinners, even if there were a few interruptions. The Korean grilled chicken, bbq beef sandwiches and stuffed peppers were the highlights! If you make them (or one of them) I'd love to hear about it!
This week I'm working toward getting back to my weekly goal of incorporating a new recipe from one of my cookbooks (since they're finally out of boxes!). This week I'm using a couple from The Summer Book by Susan Branch. I'm a HUGE fan of hers and have lots of her books. She is simply wonderful! If you're not familiar with her, you can check out her site here.
The Summer Book is full of delicious warm-weather recipes, plus gardening tips, decorating ideas, fun stories and all kinds of more good stuff. The Santa Maria style grilled steaks and the skewered potatoes for this week come from this book.
By the way, today (Monday) is National Onion Rings Day--at least it is according to my Paula Deen calendar! So we're celebrating with some of PW's amazing onion strings. I suggest you do the same!!
